It has not been designed or certified for water safety, and it must never be relied on to keep a person or animal afloat.

Many customers use the Mattress Pro successfully in cold and freezing conditions by pairing it with suitable cold-weather gear. For extra insulation, especially on frozen ground, snow or near-freezing nights, we strongly recommend putting a closed-cell foam mat underneath. This adds another thermal barrier, cuts heat loss into the ground, and makes the whole sleep system much stronger.
